Key Moments

  • Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) started the week under pressure after falling over 3%, 1.5%, and 3.5% in the prior week.
  • BTC is trading above a critical $62,300 support level but remains below its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day EMAs, maintaining a bearish near-term tone.
  • XRP is hovering at $1.00 with weakening momentum, as technical indicators and key moving averages continue to point to downside risks.

Bitcoin: Key Support Holds but Bias Stays Bearish

Bitcoin (BTC) began the week cautiously after declining more than 3% over the previous week. BTC is trading at $63,135 on Monday, holding just above a critical technical area around $62,300.

The near-term outlook remains negative, with price capped below the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $64,306 and trading well under the 100-day EMA at $66,388 and the 200-day EMA at $71,800.

Momentum indicators reflect this downside skew. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 44, parked in a neutral-to-weak zone, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator is in negative territory, indicating that selling pressure is still present even as BTC stabilizes above $63,000.

BTC Technical Levels

Indicator / LevelValue
Current price$63,135
50-day EMA$64,306
100-day EMA$66,388
200-day EMA$71,800
23.6% Fibonacci retracement$62,586
38.2% Fibonacci retracement$65,547
50% Fibonacci retracement$67,940

On the upside, initial resistance is aligned with the 50-day EMA around $64,306. Above that, a more substantial barrier appears near the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement at $65,547 and the 100-day EMA at $66,388, just below a horizontal resistance at $66,500. A daily close above this broader resistance band would be needed to soften the current bearish stance and potentially clear a path toward the 50% Fibonacci retracement at $67,940.

On the downside, nearby support is seen at the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement at $62,586, followed by the horizontal level at $62,300. A break below $62,300 would likely leave BTC vulnerable to deeper losses toward the lower boundary of its wider trading range.

Ethereum: Sideways Trade Persists Within Moving Average Band

Ethereum (ETH) also started the week on the back foot after losing around 1.5% over the previous week. ETH is changing hands at $1,892 on Monday, still locked in a sideways pattern that has been in place since mid-July.

Price action is confined between key moving averages: ETH is holding above the 50-day EMA at $1,867 but remains restrained below the 100-day EMA at $1,919.

The RSI near 53 suggests slightly positive momentum, but the MACD remains in negative territory, implying that buying interest is present yet lacks strong conviction.

ETH Technical Levels

Indicator / LevelValue
Current price$1,892
50-day EMA$1,867
100-day EMA$1,919
200-day EMA$2,118
Key psychological resistance$2,000
Major horizontal support zone$1,385

On the topside, the first hurdle is the 100-day EMA at $1,919. A move above this level would bring the psychological barrier at $2,000 into view, followed by the more strategically important 200-day EMA at $2,118.

On the downside, the 50-day EMA at $1,867 is providing immediate support. A daily close below this level would increase the risk of a retreat toward the broader horizontal support area around $1,385, which marks a significant structural floor on the longer-term chart.

XRP: Bearish Structure Intact Around $1.00

Ripple (XRP) is also starting the week on weaker footing after dropping about 3.5% in the previous week. On Monday, XRP is trading at $1.00, with price action maintaining a bearish profile.

XRP is pinned under the 50-day EMA at $1.07 and the 100-day EMA at $1.15, while the 200-day EMA is situated considerably higher at $1.35, underscoring a heavy broader trend backdrop. The RSI around 37 and a negative MACD reading both point to ongoing downside pressure rather than signs of a near-term bullish reversal.

XRP Technical Levels

Indicator / LevelValue
Current price$1.00
50-day EMA$1.07
100-day EMA$1.15
200-day EMA$1.35
Horizontal resistance$1.30
Structural high$1.90

On the upside, initial resistance is found at the 50-day EMA near $1.07, followed by the 100-day EMA around $1.15 and a horizontal ceiling at $1.30. Above that, a more distant resistance band is reinforced by the 200-day EMA close to $1.35 and the structural high around $1.90.

On the downside, the immediate support level is the psychological and horizontal floor at $1.00. A sustained move below this mark would signal fresh lows and deepen the existing bearish technical structure.
