Spot Aluminum Prices Edge Lower
The London Metal Exchange (LME) aluminum complex recorded modest declines on July 15 compared with the previous trading session, with both prices and exchange inventories moving lower.
The LME aluminum cash bid price was quoted at USD 3,153 per tonne on July 15, slipping 0.50% from USD 3,169 per tonne on July 14. On the offer side, the cash price decreased to USD 3,153.5 per tonne from USD 3,171 per tonne, a 0.55% drop.
Three-Month and Forward Curve Movements
Prices along the near and longer-dated segments of the curve also softened.
The LME aluminum three-month bid price eased to USD 3,150 per tonne on July 15, down from USD 3,167 per tonne on July 14, reflecting a 0.54% decline. The three-month offer price registered the same percentage move lower, slipping from USD 3,167.5 per tonne to USD 3,150.5 per tonne.
Further out on the curve, the December 2027 contract also weakened. The December 2027 bid price fell to USD 3,085 per tonne from USD 3,103 per tonne, a decrease of 0.58%. The corresponding offer price declined 0.58% as well, moving from USD 3,108 per tonne to USD 3,090 per tonne.

Inventory and Warrants Update
On the stocks side, LME aluminum opening inventories declined to 284,600 tonnes on July 15 from 286,225 tonnes on July 14, a 0.57% reduction.
Live warrants remained stable at 246,300 tonnes. Cancelled warrants, however, decreased from 38,300 tonnes to 36,800 tonnes, a fall of 3.92%.
