Sony Corp. came out with a price for its new Sony PlayStation 4 console. The new gaming experience offered by the company is valued $399, positioned $100 cheaper than its main competitor Xbox One by Microsoft Corp.

Sony took some advantage in the battle for gamers affection as stating their new version of the console would run older games and wouldnt be solely dependable on internet connection.

“The PlayStation 4 wont impose any new restrictions on used games,” said Jack Tretton, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America as the audience reacted with applaud during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

This came to a response on what Microsoft stated earlier. The Xbox One has some restrictions for older games and could lack compatibility. It is also highly dependable on Internet connection which could be a drawback for some of the console fans.

In terms of sales, currently Xbox 360 is the most successful console in the US market. However, on a international scale product sales are similar with those of PlayStation 3. Both devices are pricier than Wii U which Nintendo launched and had disappointing sales so far. Nintendo is supposed to present new games for its console at a conference today.
